White Belt or White Wash?

For those of you who have watched my WOW Jenni's Journey, then you will no doubt recall seeing me with a boxing glove on, in a fast forward "Benny Hill style" motion, trying to achieve my Personal best goal of seeing how many punches I can throw in 30 seconds.  For those of you who missed that!?  Shame on you but, fear not, there is plenty more to see where that come from.

After achieving my PB (admittedly due to the fact that it was my first attempt and there was nothing to actually beat), I realised that I was actually quite a nifty little puncher and that, with some practise, I had the potential to give Mike Tyson a fair old fight.  I decided that I should nurture my new found talent and sharpen my WOW skills.

Over the next eight weeks, I am going to share with you my Kick Boxing journey.  It's a challenge for me because I have never done anything like this before.  The closest that I came to it, was aged 10, sat on the damp floor in a valleys leisure centre, watching my sister in her Judo lesson.  She wasn't really a walking advert for Martial Arts and after her return home one day, dressed as a Judo Warrior and falling through the garden gate and somehow managing to land face down underneath it (Yes, it was actually quite an impressive move, but the tears that followed shortly lost her all that sisterly respect) my mind was made up that I should just stick to my ballroom dance lessons!

I'm sure that you will be delighted to know, that I will be filming my Kick Boxing journey and hopefully, there will be no Karma for laughing at my sister involved!  My journey began in March and now you can follow my journey, week by week, to see if I will achieve my White Belt or if I will be a White Wash!
